Benefits of drinking wine

Today I'm at day 17 of 60! While having my lunch Yesterday I had a glass of One Hope red wine. Let me say it complimented my fish very well. I come to find out that there are alot of benefits to drinking red wine. Through studies, it has been determined that wine reduces cholesterol, heart disease and you even can loose weight from it. I want to thank @onehopewine for the complimentary bottle of wine I received at the beginning of the contest! It was magnificent. Next time you drink some red wine remember the benefits :)

Day 11 of 60- My Top 3 Goals

Hi Everybody!! As you already know I've always struggled with my weight for pretty much my whole life. For as long as I can remember I have always been a chubby wubby .lol.. But a cute one ! I sometimes look back at my pictures when I was a child and also as a teenager years and always say to myself .. Was I really that overweight?? I think we sometimes don't realize how overweight we can be until you look at yourself in pictures. I mean we know we somewhat have an idea that we are a little bit over the overweight side. We keep saying to ourselves I need to get on a diet and we keep saying we will change but for most of us it's really hard to start it. Anyone can start it, to me the hardest part has been finishing it. With Genghis grill my 3 goals are:
1) finally finish my goal on obtaining that desire weight that I have been wanting to accomplish for several years now.
2) become an active and healthier human being to be able to enjoy life to its fullest
3) feeling good about myself inside and out.
When I lost the 95 pounds two years ago, friends that had not seem me for a while would compliment me on how well I looked. I felt I was walking on cloud 9! The more I lost the more my self esteem flourished and the better I felt about myself. People would ask me what is your secret Chris?? Alot of my friends were expecting to hear of some kind of miracle diet. Once I explained how I changed my eating habits and also how I was going to the gym 4 days a week, the reply always was...oh wow that sounds like alot of work. I guess the point I'm trying to explain is, there is no easy way out. Again, I ask you guys that want to loose weight, how bad do you really want it and are you ready to throw the excuses out the window?

Day 10 of 60.. I have a dream..

I have a dream.......
That one day I will look in the mirror and see that Christy that I have always wanted to be and look like. A person that looks normal or average as far as there weight proportioned with there height is concerned, Just want to be average. Going on 37 years I have yet to wake up to that Christy. Being an overweight person through jr high and high school was tough on me. I wanted so bad to hang out with the popular crowd, be a cheer leader. As I grew into adulthood I maintained the weight. Years have now flown by, and I really didnt get to start loosing weight until when I turned 30 which was 7 years ago. When I turned 30 years of age I said to myself. How bad do I really want to loose the weight???? and started to realize if I don't something it now its never going to happen. i started to change my eating habits and started to attend a gym almost everyday. I was weighing 245 pounds. For the next year and a half after turning 30 I lost 95 pounds. I slimmed down all the way to 155 pounds. With only 30 more pounds to go to be supposedly considered average weight by the BMi index.. I got pregnant with my 2nd child. . I gained most the weight back, after baby was born I was back to 210 pounds. I was able to drop 20 pounds after the baby and slowly been dropping the weight. My baby is now 3 years old. I have been for the last 2 years trying to get back to loosing the weight of my original goal of 135. I have been loosing the weight very very slow. Right before the competition I weighed in at 183. As you can see its been a roller coaster ride for me. Genghis has come into my life and will help me achieve my goal. By the end of this competition my goal will be to have dropped to 120 pounds. Yes! Finally I will wake up and fulfill my life -long dream. To be able to say , hey you on the mirror , you are looking good and healthy and be able to keep it that way for the rest of my life! This is my... I have a dream speech

Day 3 of 60

Hi everybody ! Today is day 3 of this 60 day weight loss journey with Genghis Grill! Everyday the bowl I make for myself tastes better and better. Today's bowl had a mixture of Fish, Turkey, sausage and broccoli, squash and Zuccini. I added the honey soy sauce today and let me say this... yum, yum YUM. I got it with brown rice but I only nibble on the rice and try to keep it on a high protein low carb ratio. I haven't been able to hit the gym yet. I have been really sick and plus with my arm laceration I haven't been all my best. Soon I will hit the gym and dominate this Khantest! I have the will and desire in me to win this . Day 2 of 60 Feb 12,2013

My second day at Genghis grill I decided to get the Mongo BBQ bowl. All I have to say is YUMMY! I added marinated steak . Chicken , mushrooms and just a tiny bit of potatoes . I have a cold and had a bicycle accident on Sunday. Not feeling to good. I've had the chills and shakes throughout the day. I want to thank although friends for showing their support through my journey. Today I took a picture with most of the Pembroke Pines staff.

Day One

Today was a great day! I started the Genghis Grill Khantest today . I got weighed in today at a 183 pounds. I had my very first bowl which comprised of shrimp, turkey and broccoli. I got the large bowl and only managed to eat half of it. I got into a really bad bicycle accident today so I will be skipping the gym tonigh and I'm not too happy. I have fever, chills and the shakes right now. I got 20 stitches on my left forearm and the anesthesia started to wear off this morning. The emergency room did not prescribe any pain medication .. So I'm a little cranky right now. Hope to heal fast so I can kick butt and loose the 60 pounds weight goal I have set for myself. Looking forward for tomorrow. Peace out!
